At our laboratory, we aim to cultivate the ability to think and act independently through research on pavements and roads, while also fostering resilience as individuals to tackle any challenge. Our goal is not only the pursuit of knowledge, but also to develop engineers and researchers who can contribute to society by learning proactively through experiments, analysis, and field experience.

Our laboratory conducts research on road structures such as asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, and road bridge decks, focusing particularly on components that directly bear the loads of traffic vehicles. In fact, there are only a handful of university laboratories in Japan that specialize in research on pavements and asphalt, making our lab quite rare! Through experiments and analyses, we carry out research that contributes to the longevity of pavements and bridge decks, as well as the improvement of inspection, diagnosis, and engineering technologies.
研究室的核心研究方向聚焦于“沥青铺装材料”、“混凝土铺装”以及“道路桥梁床板”等直接承担着车辆荷载的道路构件。另外值得一提的是，作为日本国内少数以“铺装工程”和“沥青材料”为核心研究方向的大学实验室，我们的研究工作在学术界具有独特性和前瞻性。通过系统的实验研究与理论分析，我们不断提升铺装结构与床板系统的检测评估与诊断技术水平，致力于延长道路基础设施的使用寿命，为实现交通基础设施的可持续发展提供技术支撑与创新解决方案。
